Welcome to ECAI 2027

ECAI is Europe’s premier AI research venue. We will be honoured to host the 28th edition of this conference in person, in Athens, one of Europe’s most historical, beautiful, and lively cities. ECAI 2027 will feature, as usual, a full programme of technical papers, as well as many AI-related events of interest for researchers, students, and industry professionals. This includes workshops and tutorials, as well as sister conferences for starting researchers (STAIRS) and prestigious applications of AI (PAIS).

In Athens, ancient philosophy and scientific inquiry blend to create a modern, energetic academic community. Beyond its iconic landmarks and vibrant Mediterranean life, the city is home to top-tier universities, research centers, and a growing tech ecosystem focused on AI and real-world impact. Here, interdisciplinary research plays a key role in tackling pressing sustainability challenges like managing climate resilience and understanding complex ecological and social systems. We believe that AI will be crucial to addressing these global issues in a holistic way, and we look forward to gathering in Athens to share ideas, foster collaboration, and enjoy the distinct warmth and energy of the city.

The conference will be supported by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) and the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN).
